Michael is a New York City based writer of musical theatre (mostly). He was accepted to the NYU Musical Theatre Writing program upon graduating from Florida State University (BFA Music Theatre) but his path took him away from grad school at the time when he went into rehearsal for the first national tour of Ragtime. After tour he staged his first reading in NYC at Playwrights Horizons.  He then joined the BMI Lehman/Engel workshop and the Musical Writers’ Playground where he met his collaborator Leslie Becker.  With Leslie, Michael wrote a musical called Fetching Water which is currently under option and is shooting for a production in 2024. Michael earned his Masters in Fine Arts in Film Production from Full Sail University, where he focused on creating Musicals for the Screen.  With this knowledge he looks forward to developing innovative theatre, film and immersive experiences for audiences with his new works.
